Zoe Wood

Areas of specialism / interest:

Zoe has a wealth of experience in high profile and sensitive investigations, including MHPS, grievances, bullying & harassment and whistleblowing.

She works with clients across the private and public sector, including NHS Trusts, Councils, Multi-Academy Trusts, Further Education and Higher Education. 
 
She also leads on the development and delivery of the training we offer to organisations on topics such as Investigating Officers training, Conducting People-Centric Investigations and Investigating allegations of Sexual Harassment.

Zoe oversees many of our most complex cases and has particular expertise in dealing with allegations of sexual harassment and managing cases under Maintaining High Professional Standards within the modern NHS.  
 
Examples of Zoe’s recent work include: 

  • Investigation into allegations of sexual harassment against a senior executive, making findings on a specific incident and providing a range of recommendations for the organisation in accordance with the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 201) Act 2023 preventative duty 
  • Complex MHPS investigation into a range of clinical concerns and behavioural allegations against a senior Consultant for a large NHS Trust  
  • Hearing and determining the outcome of a grievance appeal of a senior executive with full delegated authority on behalf of a private sector organisation  

Background

Zoe has over 20 years’ experience as an HR Professional with 10 of those working at a senior level within the NHS. Prior to joining ibex gale, she was Head of Employee Relations for a large acute NHS Foundation Trust where she was responsible for leading a large service providing employee relations investigations, Medical HR services and HR policy development for the Trust. Prior to this she worked with a mental health Trust and local education authorities providing employee relations advice to schools.
