Lynda Norbury

Lynda has vast experience of conducting complex and sensitive investigations. She takes a compassionate approach to all aspects of her investigations and ensures a robust process.

Her work often includes allegations of workplace bullying, discrimination (including victimisation and harassment) and whistleblowing.  
 
Examples of Lynda’s recent work include: 

  • Fact finding investigations for an NHS Trust into concerns about the conduct of a consultant and a senior manager. 
  • Whistleblowing investigation into concerns about the leadership and culture within a HR Directorate of an organisation. 
  • Grievance investigation into allegations of bullying and breach of contract, involving the Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the organisation.  
  • Investigation for an NHS Trust into several detailed and complex grievances brought against several colleagues including senior managers, involving allegations of bullying and harassment, breakdown in relationships and unfair processes. 
  • Grievance investigation for an NHS organisation into allegations of race and disability discrimination and breach of the organisation’s policies. 
  • Investigation and determination of a grievance (by way of delegated authority) for a charity into complaints of bullying and harassment and race and sex and discrimination. 
  • Complex MHPS investigation relating to concerns about the performance and conduct of a senior consultant at a large NHS Trust.

Background

Lynda started her career as an employment lawyer, initially working with trade unions and their members, before moving to a large international law firm working with both private sector and NHS clients. She has extensive experience of advising on employee relations matters and of providing strategic advice on the full range of employment law issues, including litigation processes. Throughout Lynda’s work with NHS Trusts, she had a particular focus on dealing with concerns under MHPS, including conduct, capability and ill health matters and providing support and advice to case managers, as well as delivering training for case managers and case investigators.
