Emily Errington

Areas of specialism / interest:

Emily’s passion and expertise are in managing complex investigations, organisation design and restructures. With her strong generalist HR knowledge, she works on a variety of large and complex, people-related projects.

Emily’s work often includes investigating allegations of workplace bullying, discrimination (including victimisation and harassment) and sexual misconduct. Emily partners with clients during periods of significant change and takes a people-centric approach to organisational design, restructures, redundancy and TUPE. 

Examples of Emily’s recent work include: 

  • Disciplinary investigation for an organisation in the financial services sector into allegations of bullying, involving a senior leader.  
  • Lessons learnt review for an NHS Trust following an organisational restructure. 
  • Grievance investigation involving four separate grievances against one senior leader, with allegations of bullying and inappropriate behaviour. 
  • Complex grievance investigation, involving two Directors who had raised a number of allegations against each other in the retail sector. 
  • Investigation into a redundancy appeal within an NHS Trust to inform the outcome of the appeal. 
  • Advised on the design and implementation of a new executive leadership structure for an organisation within the biomedical research and clinical trials sector. 
  • Advised on the design and implementation of a new structure for an organisation in the business intelligence sector. 
  • Consulted with staff on a large-scale redundancy programme for an organisation in the information services and analytics sector. 

Background

Starting her career in the private sector, Emily has worked with local authorities, the civil service and for the last ten years in a consultancy environment where she has partnered with businesses in insurance, property, renewable energy, TV production, retail, wholesale and distribution, utilities, technology and many more.
